Archuity thrives on our unique and evolving process of responding to clients needs as they change over time. As needs have changed, we have adapted a system of engaging our valued clients via a process we call “Zoom Charrette.” A Charrette, is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as follows:
Charrette: a meeting in which all stakeholders in a project attempt to resolve conflicts and map solutions.*
Archuity designs all projects in 3D, utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. This technology enables us to present our preliminary designs to you, the client, in 3 dimensions via a Zoom screen. Perhaps you will notice a certain detail you do not like, so you will say, “Hey! I don’t like that right there! Will you move it over here?” and we will say, “But of course Ma Cherie!” and voila! Updates are made to the model in real time before your eyes, expediting the process and minimizing
*As the legend goes, the word Charrette is derived from the French word meaning “chariot” or “cart.” Early American Architects traditionally studied architecture at L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. Students would be working around the clock to complete their watercolor drawings; with the deadline eminent and time to present approaching, they would load their artwork onto a cart (charrette) and continue working while their friend pushed them to their destination. American Architects brought this phrase home, and it has evolved to mean a mad dash to complete a project with all the stakeholders involved.
